The full board of Reps meets TODAY on Monday, January 5th, which can override the tree ordinance veto!

We need your help—right now.
The new 32nd Board of Representatives needs to hear directly from residents. Please email them and urge an override of the vetoed Tree Ordinance. This ordinance came out of three years of listening to the community, working with experts, and public input—and it aligns with Stamford’s climate goals and long-term plans.
If you’ve already emailed, thank you. Please spread the word. Ask a friend, text a neighbor, post it in your group chat. Every email counts. Our trees, our neighborhoods, and our future depend on it. 🌳

Dear 32nd Board of Reps,
Â
We urge you to override the veto of the Tree Ordinance. This ordinance reflects three years of thoughtful outreach, expert analysis, and robust public engagement, and it is fully aligned with Stamford’s adopted plans and climate commitments.
Stamford’s trees are essential to the health, resilience, and character of our city. This ordinance helps ensure we preserve the trees we have today while protecting and expanding tree coverage in Stamford’s most highly developed areas—where it is needed most.
Please stand up for our environment, our neighborhoods, and our future by supporting this ordinance. Thank you for your leadership and consideration.
Sincerely,
