Cove and Lockwood Proposal

We have great concern for the redesign of the Cove and Lockwood intersection in the heart of the Cove/East Side and where the patrons of those shops will park when the designated left turn on Lockwood is created.

Six spaces will be removed from the street and as most of us know, parking there is already difficult to find. The vacant commercial dry cleaner (100' x 100') which been sighted for blight should be purchased by the city with redirected grant money (Shippan Roundabout) to create a pocket park and 14 parking spaces which would resolve the parking issue and avoid much opposition. Lyle Fishell has

suggested this to the mayor and sent Luke (Transportation) the attached plan.
